HIVE artspace is currently accepting submissions of artworks depicting the themes of rainforest OR desert for our May exhibit. No submission restrictions on medium, size or price.
Although they are two extremely different biomes, both the rainforest and the desert are teeming with life of all kinds – from beginning to end; structures that are nature-made and man-made – still standing or not; and evidence of presences – real and imagined. I hope you will enjoy researching all the various forms of life and terrain of these very different environments.
SUBMISSION NOTES:
Up to 3 submissions allowed. Any medium, size or price. There is no fee to submit, but there is a $5 exhibit fee for accepted artists ($5 total regardless of number of artworks accepted.) Gallery Commission is 25% on artworks sold. Final artwork must be wired/ready-to-hang/display.

Please send ONE e-mail with the following items to with subject line BIOME: ~ up to 3 submissions in low-res jpeg or pdf format
~ title, medium, price, size for each artwork submitted
~ your name as it should appear on exhibit materials
~ Link to more of your artwork on-line (optional)
~ any time constraints you may have, i.e. shipping, printing
IMPORTANT DATES:
Deadline for submissions: April 25.
Drop-off for accepted artwork: April 28, 29 & 30.
Opening Reception: First Friday May 5, from 5-9
Exhibit Dates: May 5-27, 2017
End of show artwork pick-up: May 27-28.
