SiNaCa Studios is conducting an open call for glass artists for Vitro Moda, its ninth annual fundraiser that blends glass and music in a unique event that transforms a local venue into a runway show. This year’s theme, chromesthesia, will explore the connection between sound and color and how it influences artistic expression.

At the February 18 event, couture models will walk the runway showcasing and wearing beautiful, one-of-a-kind glass art pieces created by artists around the country. The featured glass art pieces will be on sale at the conclusion of the show. A silent auction and raffle will precede the show.

Contributing artists are encouraged to submit two to four pieces. At least two pieces should be of equal value and will be chosen by representatives of SiNaCa Studios.

One piece of SiNaCa’s choosing will be available as a 100 percent donation for the silent auction. The other pieces will be included in the runway show and will be available for sale at a 50/50 percent split of the price that the artist sets. One-hundred percent of silent auction proceeds and 50 percent of sales of featured runway pieces will benefit SiNaCa Studios.

The deadline for submissions is Wednesday, February 1, 2017.

Submissions must be made in .jpeg format to info@sinacastudios.org or in-person at 1013 W. Magnolia Ave., Fort Worth, TX, 76104. All submissions must include a description of the medium, technique, dimensions, retail cost and artist contact information.
