Theme: Code
The Works Art & Design Festival is now accepting proposals for Major Projects, Installations, and Curated group exhibits on the theme “Code”.
When something is coded, it may be understood by many, or few. Code applies to computer programming languages, systematizing or streamlining information, restricting or permitting access, and intra-cultural communication.
Code is used to simplify, sublimate or signify.
Proposals may consider: art as communication; new technologies, implicit or explicit audience segmentation, symbols of belonging, and language.
The Works is dedicated to accessibility, inclusion, interactivity, and socially engaged practice.
