Art Display Program Submission Information
- There are 51 display cases located in the International, Trans-Border, Domestic departure/arrival gates (post-security) and also in the South Terminal Building.
- Display case measurements to consider: cases are freestanding and visible from
all four sides; interior space measures 66” (h) x 45” (w) x 29” (d) with a door opening of 66” (h) x 35” (w). All cases include directed lighting, moderate ultra-violet protection and two sets of locking mechanisms. Please note that these cases are not environmentally controlled and are subject to ambient conditions. While temperature and humidity are relatively stable, works sensitive to light and humidity should not be submitted for display. - Exhibitions rotate throughout the terminals bi-annually. However, if works are sold, we will work with you to arrange their removal or replacement after the six-month minimum display period.
- Artwork will be credited inside the display case with the artist’s name, the title of the work, the medium, a contact name, address, phone number, email address, website, etc., for further inquiries. YVR does not charge any fees or commissions.
- Artworks are insured while on display, but not during transit to/from YVR.
- To display the art works; we provide plinths for sculptures, and interior walls for two-dimensional works. As the display cases are fully accessible by viewers, works can be mounted on both sides of the wall.
- Artists are responsible for delivery to YVR, and YVR will be responsible for their return (or vice versa if more convenient).
We are very interested in your ideas and the works you may consider displaying. If you
would like to submit works for consideration, please include the following:
• Images of the artist’s work currently available for display
• Description of the work including: title, size, medium, subject matter, and value
• Any other information you would like to include for consideration, such as Artist
Statement or Resume.
