Hamptons Art Hub announces its second fall Call for Art Competition in support of the theme “View From Home.” The idea of “home” has many implications. Well-used in literature and pop culture (home is where the heart is / home is where you lay your hat / home is a state of mind), the word “home” can take on meanings that go beyond the physical domicile where one resides. Home can mean family, self, identity, memory, journeying, a haven, a transition, a corruption, an actual house or domicile, a neighborhood or a place of significance. Home can be an anchor or one of many stops along the way.

Hamptons Art Hub is seeking art that explores the idea of home and a perspective formed through a place of significance for our Fall Art Competition.

Artists are encouraged to interpret the theme as they wish with connections through composition, material, theme, inspiration or subject. Submissions are now open and will be accepted online through November 26, 2017. Artists can be based anywhere in the world. The Call for Art is NOT restricted to artists working in The Hamptons.

One artwork will be selected as the Best Overall Artwork winner. First Place winners will be selected in the categories of Fine Art and Fine Art Photography. Honorable Mentions may be awarded based on the judge’s discretion. Art will also be selected for a curated online-only exhibition at Hamptons Art Hub that opens in mid December 2017.

Winners of Best Overall Artwork and Best in Fine Art and Best in Fine Art Photography win a Cash Prize and a free Artist Directory Membership to showcase their art for one (1) year.

Hamptons Art Hub’s Call for Art Competition will be judged by New York City gallerist Anita Rogers of Anita Rogers Gallery, located in SoHo in New York City.
