Immersive Arts & Music Workshops

The Second Old First Ward Arts & Heritage Festival will be held on Saturday Sept 28, 2023 11am -10pm on Republic St. between Tennessee St. and Vandallia St.

The festival will be composed of an immersive art & music making area & 2 live music stages.

We are looking for Artists/Musicians to create and execute workshops that will run from 11am – 7pm that attendees can participate in at no cost. These can be scheduled workshops or drop in workshops and can run the full day or for a designated time of the day. You will need to submit a detailed plan for your workshop including all expenses needed to administer the workshop, your time, and supplies. The stipend is up to $800 per workshop. We can provide tables and chairs if needed. The Immersive Art & Music area will shut down at 7pm on Saturday.

 

Deadline to apply is August 26th. Approved participants will be notified by as early as August 30th and partial funding may be available prior to the event to purchase supplies etc. If you are approved to participate we will send you a contract and require a w9 to process payment. Set up will begin at 9:00AM on Sept 28th. Artists must be set up and ready to open by your scheduled time on the day of the festival.
