Have a creative project in mind but no where to perform?
Are you a conceptual or visual artist with an interactive project you want to share?

Toronto Fringe is entering a new era at our new Fringe Club at the Scadding Court Community Centre and we want you to help bring the club to life this summer! The Fringe Club is the central hub of the festival and it’s open daily throughout the Fringe Festival.
Scadding Court is located on the south-east corner of Bathurst St and Dundas St W at 707 Dundas St W.

We will be accepting proposals for activations that take place within the Fringe Club perimeter

Installation Proposals:

These can take place anywhere within the perimeter of the Fringe Club between the hours of 12pm – 2am. We want to hear from you: how do you want to use our space? How can you bring it to life?

What we are looking for:

  • Live art installations
  • Community activations
  • Audience participation
  • Pop-up performances
  • Interactive creation stations
  • Public art
  • Interactive art
  • Or surprise us with an idea we have not though of yet!

Stage Proposals

These can take place any weekend day during the festival (July 8/9 and 15/16) between 12pm-5pm on our outdoor stage that we will build in the skating rink just south of Scadding Court. We will be accepting proposals for a 20-minute slot on this stage.

What we are looking for:

  • Live bands
  • Cabaret performances
  • Solo performers
  • Comedy/Stand-up
  • Dance/Burlesque
  • Or surprise us with an idea we have not though of yet!

Other things to note:

While you will not be able to charge for admission, you will be able to “pass the hat” or solicit donations at the end of your performance or throughout your installation
The Fringe Festival will curate this series for a limited amount of space, and thus not all proposals will be accepted
You will likely not have access to any electricity
It will be your responsibility to promote your installation or performance, although we will do our best to amplify your messaging
