This is Normal is an open call exhibition at the North Suburban Center for the Arts featuring visual and literary artists exploring what the term ‘normal’ means in terms of conformity, the standards ‘the norm’ sets, how normalcy sustains comfortability, how we know when things are not normal, and more.
Interested applicants may submit responses to the prompt in either visual or literary mediums. Responses can be abstract, representative, multimedia, performance-based—or anything in between!
Applications will open on July 20 and close on September 20.
