Loose Chicks is a collection of female writers and performers in Chicago sharing raw and vulnerable experiences from their past. We are looking to add a few more performers. We are looking for women who can perform unhinged, emotional, sometimes funny stories. A quote from a review done by Cassie Sheets at Chicago Literati describes the show perfectly:

“Loose Chicks is a small collective comprised of three artists and writers: Roberta Miles, Jillian Erickson, and Erin Lane. On the second Friday of each month they host an event featuring readings and monologues from local feminist women artists and writers.”

Loose Chicks occurs twice a month (Chicago, IL) – once at Uncharted Books and once at Emerald City Cafe Uptown. Each performer gets a 10 minute slot to fill. There is no pay for this show. If you feel like you fit the bill I would love to have you at one of our shows. To get more of an idea of what Loose Chicks is about you can check out our website – www.theLooseChicks.com You can read about some of our performers and check out a couple other reviews we have up in the press section.
If interested, please visit our website and head to the submissions section to send your writing sample.
